Most people underestimate the importance of hydration for fat loss. Almost two thirds of the human body is made up of water, and it is involved in everything from removing waste and lubricating joints to regulate body temperature. It also aids metabolism, so consumption of water is vital to maximise your body’s fat-burning ability. As a general rule, I recommend drinking between 2 – 4 litres of water per day. This may seem like a lot, but it really will work wonders for your body inside and out. If you don’t enjoy drinking plain water, try adding some fresh mint, lemon or lime for a bit of flavour.
